Breakfast at Tiffany's

I always thought that was a strange movie.  It took me a couple of viewings to figure out that Holly Golightly was . . . um . . . kind of a "light woman", shall we say?  I'd like to think it had a happy ending, her and the soaking wet cat & Paul, all snuggly in the taxi.  Hopefully she found whatever it was she was really looking for.

Anyway, I DO love Tiffany's.  Especially their pretty little boxes.  Has to be about the BEST shade of blue EVER!!  I actually HAVE two of those boxes in my possession, courtesy of a very dear friend, Patrick, who passed away suddenly last October.  He very generously gave out those beautiful little baubles to many of his women friends, sometimes even slyly gifting them to our husbands around Valentine's Day and letting them get all the credit :)  One is a Paloma Picasso double heart necklace (hence said Valentine's Day story) and the other is a Tiffany tag pendant that I had long admired in the catalog.  He was like the BIG brother I never had, my "fourth brother", along with my own three brothers . . . and his heart was as big as he was, all 6'5" and 350 pounds of him.  Every girl should have a brother-buddy like that.  And just in case anyone thinks that's a little weird, no.  He was my husband's best friend, too.  No funny stuff.  We miss him every day.  And that's definitely not funny.

So, thinking about Patrick and Tiffany's was the inspiration for this card.  Stampin' Up! has a new set of In Colors for the next two years, and when I got my sample pack in July, both my daughter and I immediately hollered, "Tiffany Blue!!" when we saw Pool Party.  Hope you enjoy this yummy, lacy card :)

Happy stamping!

  1. Very pretty Jen! Hope you are doing well - I feel a need to stamp something . . . too much taxi driving (darn kids) and trying to clean house! Hopefully have some time this week.
