The (Stampin') teacher is in ;)

I've spent today on the computer (So what else is new, right?  Hush your mouth!!) working on my Stampin' Up! business.  Which does NOT feel like work, by the way, because stamping, talking about stamping, buying stamp supplies, etc. etc. is SO MUCH FUN!!

Anyway, please take a minute to drop by my demonstrator website and click on "Events" to see what crazy fun classes I've come up with for you in January, February, and March.  RSVP for a class - or two or three :) - and then hop back over here to conveniently pay online.  Isn't technology a time-saver??

Everyone please have fun with your New Year's festivities, but stay safe.  Best wishes to all for everything you need in 2012.

Happy stampin' and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

All a Twitter(pated)!

The Occasions Mini catalog begins January 4th!  I can't wait for you all to see the adorable and exciting new products that are being introduced.  Sooooo, I designed a card or two (or three) to give you a little sneak peek of some of the new, yummy things:

This was my first attempt.  It's "OK" but something just wasn't hitting me right.  Off to Split Coast Stampers to get some opinions from my fellow demos . . .

"Lose the rhinestones"  "Put them in the snowflakes"  "Lower the label"  "Lose the patterned paper" (Um, NO!  That's one of my sneak peeks!!  lol) "Too much glimmer"  "Not enough glimmer"  "Frame the label"   . . . and on and on and on :)  Well, you get the idea.  Back to the drawing, er, stamping, board . . .

I actually liked the silvery one better, but glitter & I do NOT play well together - soooooo, another sneak peak item took the place of the silver glitter (which I'm pretty sure is still sitting in my wrinkles, a week later).

OK, did you find the sneak peeks?????

How about that pretty, vintage-y paper behind the white label?  That's a small scrap from the new Twitterpated Suite.  It's very Victorian (I just love it, especially since I miss Springtime Vintage so much from last year's Occasions Mini.).

Do you LOVE the ribbon?  NEW Pleated Satin Ribbon in FOUR colors!!!!  That's the Blushing Bride.  It's so easy to work with and really adds some WOW to the cards.

Notice the gorgeous red glimmer on the white label on the right hand card?  If you already love Dazzling Details, you'll go crazy for it in Cherry Cobbler - just in time for Valentine's Day!

Well, don't forget that the Holiday Mini ends on January 3 - and if you didn't order the Stocking Builder punch yet, get it before it's gone, gone, gone - it's NOT carrying over!!

Head on over to my DBWS to shop the Holiday Mini and the Clearance Rack - TONS of current punches in the old body style still to be had for awesome prices, along with some great papers, buttons, and more.

Happy New Year, and happy stampin'!

Christ-MASS Production!

Well, I banged out 32 of these bad boys today.  Wanted to create a card that would be simple & mailable.  Kittie Caracciolo has some really gorgeous cards on her blog and I wanted to try my hand at making something similar, but much less "dimensional".  I adore Kittie's work!

OK, I confess, it's not Stampin' Up! only, but you know I can't resist a pretty die & that branch punch just makes such nice pine-y foliage ;)  But see??  See how your non-Stampin' Up! stuff can work so well with Stampin' Up! stuff?  I bet you've got some craft supplies lying around that you don't know what to do with because you can't figure out the best way to use them.  Well, give me a call!  I can recommend some wonderful stampy things from the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog to make you love ALL your neglected tools and supplies again!  Face it, we've all got some things lying around or lost in drawers because we bought them & now can't remember why or can't decide how to use them.

This card uses Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Garden Green, and Very Vanilla cardstock and the lovely Frostwood Lodge stamp set.  Notice the little holly berries?  That's a sneak peek from the Occasions Mini - yep, more Dazzlin' Details coming soon - that's Cherry Cobbler & it's SCRUMPTIOUS!!!  I love me some bling!!  I used Stazon Jet Black ink & spritzed the window view with some homemade glimmer mist (email me for the recipe, credit to Lyssa Zwolanek for sharing).  I wish you could see better how it makes the stamped image sparkle.

Well, off to address my cards!  Merry Christmas!!

Happy stampin',

PS  Head over to my DBWS & check out the Clearance Rack Blitz - but hurry!!  It's going FAST.

Highlights from Gift Card Holders Class

Here are some samples that my students created from the Gift Card Holders class I held this past Friday!

 Dee's cards
 Kim's cards
 Michelle's cards
Shari's cards

As you can see, they had a lot of fun using punces and the Big Shot to embellish their gift cards!  We used paper from the Holly Berry Bouquet DSP pack, red & silver Glimmer Paper, and a variety of Textured Impressions embossing folders as well as the Stocking and Stocking Accents dies.

Aren't they cute?!  If you haven't ordered your Stampin' Up! goodies yet, it's not too late!  Order online through my DBWS by December 14th for delivery by Christmas.

Happy stampin'!

Paper Rosettes Class Highlights

Finally have some time to blog again!  My nemesis, homework, has been on my back :)

I held a Paper Rosettes class on November 18th & just HAVE to show off my students' work!  First of all, I was really nervous because this was my first class with "strangers" - however, soon we were all chatting away like old friends & having a great time crafting together.

Here are their creations.  I just LOVE how they used Stampin' Up! punches to highlight their wreaths with butterflies, birds, and owls!

If you haven't ordered your Spice Cake DSP yet, better hurry!  The Holiday Mini ends on January 3rd!

Happy stampin'!
