How About a Cuppa?

Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE tea :)  So when Stampin' Up! came out with the set Tea Shoppe(set of 9 stamps) in the Occasions Mini, you know I had to have it!  It comes in both wood mount (#125545, $34.95) and clear mount (#125547, $27.95).

The card above is one I did today, inspired by a swap card received from my up-up-upline's Occasions Mini Swap, done by Amy Deems:

(As you can see, Amy's card is MUCH nicer than mine :)  I suspect I may not have inked up my stamp enough with Versamark to get the great detail she did on her card.  Hopefully my next attempt is better!)

The technique used is very simple but stunning.  Stamp your image using Versamark ink and heat emboss using clear Stampin' Emboss Powder.  Next, color the parts of the image that are not covered with the embossing (where the base cardstock is showing through) using your Stampin' Write markers and wipe off excess ink from the clear embossed part with a paper towel dampened with Stampin' Mist.  You could leave the image as is or cut it out as we did.  Neat, huh??!!

Another couple of products I am LOVING are the Adorning Accents Edgelits and matching Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, also used on these cards.  They add such beautiful texture to the cardstock, don't they?  I also went with the Vintage Wallpaper folder for the card front and layered my colors on top, while Amy chose to put the texture on her top layer with Perfect Polka Dots.

Finally, you've GOT to love the ribbon.  The Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim is PERFECT with this set.  I layered Pool Party 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon over mine.

If you'd like more details on this technique or need to order any of these products, give me a call, shoot me an email, or visit my online store.  Remember, Sale a Bration is going on right now - with every $50 in product you order, you'll receive your choice of a FREE, exclusive SAB product!!
