Fresh Vintage in Black & Melon Mambo

I'm really going to miss the SAB set Fresh Vintage.  This'll definitely be one of the sets I'll keep even when it retires on March 31st.

As you know, this weekend was the four day spring crop.  Just got home around 3:30 and I am TIRED!  I actually ran out of all the Christmas DSP I took with me - and even stopped at the Crop Shop in Greensburg on the way and couldn't resist buying a few sheets of pretty Christmas paper there.  My project was to scrap all the Christmas photos from an album that was sitting in the basement.  Remember when those fabric-covered, lace-embellished, handmade photo books were all the rage in the '90s?  That's what I deconstructed.  There's still a pretty hefty pile of photos left to crop & scrap, but after running out of DSP, I quit and started futzing around with cards instead.

Realized I forgot to include some of the supplies I need for my upcoming card swap (Basic Gray cardstock), so didn't get too far with those, either!!  Loved some of the samples I saw at Regional using Melon Mambo & Basic Black, so this is what I came up with.  I'll add more to it later - perhaps a punched sentiment using the Scallop Oval punch and Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Loving making these paper flowers lately - if you're coming to Technique Tuesday in April, this is one of the things you'll be learning.  Super-simple and they add so much texture!

Alright, gotta run - my eyes are CLOSING!!  Happy stampin'!
