"FAMILY" Collage

I saw an example of this papercrafting technique on Wendy Weixler's blog & just had to try one of my own.  The beautiful Mocha Morning DSP is, unfortunately, retired - but you could easily duplicate this lovely collage with any DSP and color scheme.  I attended one of my favorite events today - an all day crop with my friend & downline, Debbie, and used the time to work on this project.  Here's my CASE of Wendy, plus a little closer look at some of the squares:

I wanted my letters to be a bit fancier, so I used my Cricut to cut out a variety of different fonts & highlights.  However, aside from the use of the Cricut, all materials used are from Stampin' Up!  Sure do wish we'd get some exclusive Cricut cartridges in the SU! catalog - a girl can dream, right??

If you're coming to my collage art class on Friday, this is pretty close to what you'll be creating - of course, you'll make it your own :)  The font we'll use in class will be a little more basic - this is just to show you what you can do to really "fancy it up".

That's about it for now!  Happy stampin',

Jeni
