Butler Crop: Creating Til I Dropped blog series

Hi Stampers!

Well, we've made it to Day 11!  How about something a little different than my usual Stampin' Up! only creations?

Kittie Caracciolo is a papercrafter who I am just completely in awe of.  Her absolutely AMAZING creations never fail to delight and inspire me.  Please take a moment and visit her Kittie Kraft blog.  I guarantee you'll love her work!  Doesn't she look like the sweetest, friendliest person?  Kittie's definitely on my list of "online friends" I'd like to meet someday in person!

Anyway, Kittie works a lot with dies.  Because of what I've seen on her blog, I've purchased several dies from Poppy Stamps and tried my hand at duplicating Kittie's work.  I've also been absolutely DYING to get this Tim Holtz embossing folder, and since we got 20% off coupons from the scrapbook store in Butler the weekend of our crop, I FINALLY bought it!!  Let's face it, Stampin' Up! will forever and always be my first love for my papercrafting supplies, but I do enjoy a beautiful die and embossing folder combination.

Here's one of my humble attempts to replicate Kittie's lovely artwork:

I was really flattered by the attention this card got at the crop.  Several ladies exclaimed over it, and one just begged me to send her one - she insisted on giving me her address :)  Of course, I plan to do just that - how great is it when other scrapbookers and papercrafters admire your work that much??  Have I mentioned already how much I just LOVE attending these weekend crops?  Believe me, nobody "gets" your work like another crafter :)
I hope you enjoy today's creation!  Like I said, not my usual "SU! only" work, but of course, the paper, ink, stamp, and embellishment is SU!
Have a great Sunday, and happy stampin'!
