Butler Crop: Creating Til I Dropped blog series

Hi Stampers!

Welcome to day 5 of the Butler Crop blog series.  I hope you're enjoying my card creations.  Please leave me a comment if so!  It's always gratifying for any artist to get a little feedback :)

Today's card is a CASE of a card I loved on Split Coast Stampers.  The Northern Flurry embossing folder is one of my very favorites.  Funny thing is, I thought I HAD this EF in my stash, but when I was planning out what to take for the crop weekend, darned if I could find the thing!  Had to end up ordering one before I left.  I'm still not sure whether I actually lost it somewhere, never had it, or accidentally got rid of it thinking it was retired!  Have you ever done that??

Cardstock colors here are Smokey Slate (also one of my new favorites) and Night of Navy.  For the sentiment, I used one from the set Calm Christmas, heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder.  A little bling with Basic Rhinestones, and boom - DONE!  This will also definitely be a Calendar Club card.

Simple but pretty.  See, card making doesn't have to be complicated!!

Speaking of simple but pretty, I had a SIMPLY great time the other day with my very pretty friend Kathy.  Her man has a red Mustang convertible, and we took it out bumming around on this gorgeous October Sunday.  Here's a pic of me showing off in the driver's seat:

I haven't ridden in a convertible since Senior Skip Day in high school in 1981!!  (Oops, don't tell my mom!!!) What fun :)

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, and did you make any cards for World Card Making Day?  Leave me a comment and let me know!

Happy stampin'!
