Love Me Some Rosettes!

Hi Stampers!

This is a project from the archives, but I wanted to resurrect it again because I just have so much fun with these rosette wreaths.  I'll be working on one this week to donate to a benefit a friend of mine is holding next month.  While my Calendar Girls were here yesterday (make up class for two of them), I sat with them and worked on rosettes for a Christmas wreath I'm making for the Chinese Auction.  Now, I had the strips cut and scored already (used my Simply Scored for that), so I just sat and accordion-folded them & hot glued them to some circles I punched from scrap cardstock while we chatted.  HOWEVER, while this is nice "busy work" to do while you're just sitting around talking, Stampin' Up! does have a handy-dandy Rosette Die - which I have but - would you believe??  I haven't pulled it out and used it yet!  That sounds like a project for this week, I think.  Hmmmmmm . . . . .

Anyway, here's the very first rosette wreath I ever made, which is still in gorgeous shape, hanging on my front door.  I made this back in January 2012, I believe - and it was the first class I ever taught when I started doing stampin' classes in February 2012.  It's been on my door ever since then!!  This photo was just taken today - as you can see, the wreath is just as beautiful now as it was in 2012 - no fading or anything! Almost two years old now, wow.  Even I'M kinda amazed at how well SU's DSP & cardstock hold up - well actually, no, I'm not - it's honestly why I will ONLY work with our DSP & cardstock, and part of the reason I became a demo.  I KNOW how outstanding our product quality is.

Here are some photos of my rosettes for the Christmas wreath in progress (I love them - they're just cute!!):

Just a few here, and I'll make more - but I think these will work up into a nice donation for the Chinese Auction.

Supplies list:
OK, off to catch up on "Grimm" and "Dracula" with my lovely daughter, who's home this weekend from college :)

Happy stampin'!
