Goodie Boxes Continued . . .

Hi Stampers!

Here's a project that I figured out for myself, measurements and all (aren't you proud of me? lol!!).  I saw this idea on Pinterest; unfortunately, when I tried to go to the website for the image, it took me to a dead link.  Therefore, I'm unable to give credit to the papercrafter I CASEd this from.  (If you see this, and this was your original idea, PLEASE leave me a comment so I can give you proper credit!)

The image I originally saw was SUPER cute, the way the artist did the mouth.  I couldn't for the life of me figure out how it was done, but somehow the mouth was cut out from the blue cardstock and made to look like the edges were furry - just like Cookie.  I had to improvise, but he still turned out to be pretty adorable!

So, here's my creation, and I'll give you some instructions below:

You will need:

Blue cardstock, 6 3/4" x 11" (Pacific Point used here)
Cardstock scraps for the eyes and mouth (Pacific Point, Whisper White, Basic Black used here)

Next, score and mark your large cardstock piece as shown below:

That's probably hard to see, but I wanted to give a visual.  Ignore the pen lines on my template.  The score lines are as follows.  In landscape position, score at:

2"
4 1/4"
6 7/8"
9 1/8"

Mark a pencil line at 1 3/8", then flip your cardstock 180 degrees and mark again at 9 5/8".  This will help you line up the bottom of your slider box when you glue the seam together.

Fold all your score lines, and form your box by gluing the seam together at the pencil marks you made.  This will give you a slider box that will slip right over the assembled Tag a Bag Box & acetate sleeve.

Next, punch two 1 3/8" circles from Pacific Point, two 1 1/4" circles from Whisper White, and two 3/4" circles from Basic Black.  Punch a Large Oval from Basic Black and then kind of shimmy it into your Scallop Edge Border Punch to make it look "furry".

Glue the eyes and mouth onto your box & embellish as desired.

I used some of the new Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon, a bit of Linen Thread, a tag cut out with one of the Chalk Talk Framelits from Baked Brown Sugar cardstock, and stamped with a sentiment from Creatively Yours in Baked Brown Sugar Classic Ink to decorate my box.

Of course, I'll be putting - what else??? - COOKIES - in this package :)

Supplies:

I hope you got a kick out of this little project!

Happy stampin'!
