Manly, Yes . . . But I Like It, Too . . .

Hi Stampers!

Remember those old Irish Spring commercials?  They still make me laugh!

Today's card features Perfect Blend and Gorgeous Grunge.  I thought I'd try a different color combination to come up with something a bit more "manly".  See what you think (sorry for the glare in the photo - that Natural Composition Specialty DSP is a bit shiny to try to photograph):

For this card, I cut a base from Baked Brown Sugar and layered it with some Natural Composition Specialty DSP that I sponged with Stazon Black Ink (I'm still a little leery about our Classic Black Ink pad - not sure they've resolved the smearing issue yet).  I stamped the coffee cup image 3 times:  once on Very Vanilla, once on some of the Natural Composition DSP, and once on Basic Black - that was a little bit hard to see to cut out :)
Next, I cut out the cup top and layered it on the cup, then before I cut out the "cup cozy", I scored it on my Simply Scored (you could also run it through your crimper if you still have one).
Then I stamped my sentiment in Baked Brown Sugar & punched it out, adding a Candy Dot for an accent.  Finally, I "distressed" everything using Gorgeous Grunge (Sahara Sand on the sentiment piece and Baked Brown Sugar on the card base) - it just begs to be used with Perfect Blend to mimic spilled coffee spots!

I'll have another card tomorrow, a little more on the feminine side.  Stop back & check it out!

Happy stampin'!
